Microbiology Ops Specialist
About us
Spore.Bio is a deeptech startup founded in 2023, building the next generation of microbiological quality control for food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics manufacturing.
Today, the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and food industries face increasing pressure to guarantee microbiological safety at every stage of production. Contamination risks are not only costly, they are a major public health issue.
According to the WHO, over 600 million people suffer from foodborne illnesses each year, resulting in 420,000 deaths globally. For industries producing what we eat, apply to our skin, or inject into our bodies, detecting pathogens early and reliably is absolutely critical.
Yet traditional microbiology is slow, manual, and often reactive. Results take days, protocols vary between labs, and contaminants are sometimes detected too late, once products have already left the factory.
This is where Spore Biotechnologie comes in.
We’re a high-potential French biotech startup on a mission to bring microbiology into the 21st century.
Our proprietary technology combines microscopy, machine learning, and advanced biological know-how to rapidly and accurately detect microorganisms directly on-site, and in near real-time.
Our system is designed specifically for industrial use in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and agri-food sectors, offering a sustainable, scalable, and high-performance solution to a global challenge.
Already trusted by leading international companies, Spore Biotechnologie is helping reshape how industries approach microbiological control, from reactive to proactive, from days to minutes, from uncertainty to insight.
We’re growing fast, and we’re just getting started.
