Senior Computer Vision Data Scientist.
About us
Spore.Bio is a deeptech start-up born in 2023, building a new paradigm in the quality control systems in Food&Beverage, Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutics factories.
After spending a lot of time in factories environments, we saw the pain it was to make sure products were safe. Traditional quality control has heavy constraints and long waiting times. To change that, we decided to build Spore.Bio, a new generation of microbiological testing.
Our team is dedicated to bringing technology and developing a cutting-edge solution, based on advanced optical and deep-learning technologies, to detect bacterial contamination within seconds.
Are you ready to revolutionize microbiology monitoring in factories? Spore Bio is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Data Scientist - New Microbiological Assays to lead the research, development, and deployment of our computer vision models to real-world operational constraints. Join our dynamic team of R&D experts and product managers, and help us build the future of industrial microbiology.
About the role
• Lead computer vision models for new microbiological assays discovery, improvement and certification.
• Build a thorough understanding of the end-to-end data generation pipeline, from sample preparation to downstream processing, and propose research-driven improvements.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate new approaches and architectures for improving model accuracy and robustness.
• Deploy and adapt computer vision models to meet field constraints and production requirements.
• Define and scope data acquisition strategies to improve model training and generalization, including experimental design and data collection protocols.
• Train, validate, and benchmark machine learning models; perform detailed error analysis and ablation studies to guide improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose novel solutions to data workflows and model architectures to accelerate development.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with optical engineers, microbiologists, R&D engineers, product managers, and clients.
• Stay at the forefront of computer vision research, exploring and implementing state-of-the-art techniques relevant to our domain.
